Is counseling insurance reimbursable?
What forms of payment does the office accept?
Yes, most insurance benefit packages include coverage for mental health counseling. The amount and extent of what is paid varies depending on the each individual policy. The Art of Living Counseling providers are contracted with several insurance companies.
We accept cash, credit cards (Visa, Discover and MasterCard) and personal checks.
Do you prescribe medication?
Is the counseling confidential?
Yes, all information shared is kept confidential unless there is a signed release of information given. There are three exceptions to the confidentiality rule and that is if someone indicated that they intend on harming self, harming someone else or disclose information about the abuse of a child or elder adult.
No, we are not licensed to provide medication. Should an individual desire to take medication in addition to their therapy, our therapists are able to give you recommendations of providers in the area who evaluate and prescribe appropriate medications.

How can I get the most out of my counseling?
Each clinician manages their own schedule and can discuss with you the days and hours they see clients in the office. Generally, our office is open Monday through Saturday
9 a.m.- 9 p.m.
The follow key suggestions can greatly assisit you in getting the most out of your counseling experience:
- Come with an agenda of what you would like to work on in your session.
- Develop a growth mindset; be open to seeing things from a different vantage point.
- Be intentional about the changes you would like to make
- Keep a journal to write things you are practicing and learning about yourself outside of your therapy sessions.
- Be honest and direct with your therapist. Ask for what you want and ask questions when you feel confused.
Do you offer reduced fees?
We are fortunate to have graduate level interns who are able to see clients at a reduced rate based on financial need.
